Sarah Winchester is a psychotherapist and clinical social worker licensed in Vermont and Maine. She graduated from Smith College School for Social Work with a masters degree in 2013, and has worked in the mental health field for over a decade. Sarah began her post-graduate career working with adults, adolescents, children and families in community mental health as an outpatient and school-based clinician in Massachusetts, before moving back to her home state of Vermont. From 2015 to 2020, Sarah worked as a staff psychotherapist at Bennington College Psychological Services, where she also completed a Senior Fellowship in psychoanalytic theory and clinical practice in 2016. In addition to her experience working with college students, she served part time as a therapeutic counselor at PATH at Stone Summit in Danby, VT, a residential treatment program for young adults, from 2017 to 2019.
Sarah holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and has a special interest in working with artists and creative types. She is committed to inclusivity in her practice, and affirms and welcomes individuals from all sociocultural backgrounds.
Sarah has maintained a private practice since 2017, and currently offers telepsychotherapy for adults in Vermont and Maine.
